Ferris Bueller lands in Top 5 Super Bowl car ads of 2012

The Super Bowl is way more than a football game. It's a coming out party for the year's most creative and humorous ads. NBC says advertisers are plunking down an average of $3.5 million for a 30-second spot in Super Bowl 2012. Last year, Volkswagen scored big with their Darth Vader "The Force" ad which got millions of views online before it debuted on TV. This year, so far, it looks like Ferris Bueller (aka Matthew Broderick) is getting the most pre-Super Bowl buzz.? Most of the carmakers have released their ads or short teasers in the run up to the Big Game. Here's one viewer's take on the Top 5 Super Bowl car ads for 2012. What's your favorite - Bueller, The Bark Side, or another?

Audi has gone "Twilight" on us. Or perhaps this is the German carmaker spoofing the entire vampire genre.

The spot features the 2013 Audi S7 and it's "blazing" LED headlight technology. In the ad, a group of vampire party-goers come face to face with Audi headlights, which the company says "at 5,500 Kelvin ? [are] the closest recreation of daylight available." You can guess what happens. Duck and Cover, Edward!

The video is accompanied by the song "The Killing Moon" by Echo & The Bunnymen. The ad was created by San Francisco-based Venables Bell & Partners.

Audi is also featuring a Twitter hashtag ? #SoLongVampires.? In 2011, Audi became the first brand to feature a hashtag in its Super Bowl spot.
